This bridge porter house, turned gallery, is located in Millau, a small city where I went on vacation with my parents between the ages of 9 and 15. My parents kept going there for the past 20 years and made some great friends there along the way. Part of that has to do with the fact that my mother gave aquarel workshops and exhibited her work often.
This year, I caught up with my dad on his first ever vacation without my mom, to organize a memorial exhibition in her name, initiated by the friends they made over the years. I returned to Millau for the first time in over 20 years and this journey will stay with me for a very long time. Part because of the road trips I took with my dad, showing me all the places he and my mom had discovered. But mainly because I got to meet some amazing people who my parents called their dear friends, who created a home away from home for them.
Their adventure started in this gallery, where my mom started giving painting classes and exhibited multiple times.
