This is one of my favourite shots from our family holiday in July 2016. The weather had been awful all day, but around 5pm, the clouds broke and the sun came out.
We took an evening walk down the lane to the beach, as the kids had been cooped up all day. Seth was very interested in the cliffs, (or mountains as he called them) and decided he was going to climb some of them. After a couple of brave ventures to the summit of the smaller rocks, he started to weigh up this brute.
I watched him closely for about two minutes before releasing the shutter. You can see the consideration on his face, he truly believed he could tackle it. After a bit of negotiation I managed to convince him that this mountain was too big, even for someone with his climbing skills.
He could make better use of his energy by helping his brother throw stones into the sea.
We stayed on the beach until sundown, it was a totally different experience, but one that gave us some priceless memories.
