I live out in the desert southwest. I have always been fascinated with this part of the country due to traveling out here as teenager with my grandparents to see family in AZ.
So now I live out here. From time to time I drive around to find places like this. To me it hearkens back to simpler times when your transportation was a horse, not a 4 wheeled motorized conveyance.
Area's like this show how some of nature is still untouched by man. Well man has touched it by walking around but still undeveloped. When walking around you have to be careful of where you step, not only for snakes but cow pies left behind too.
This scene is one of many located here after plenty of rain fall, lush and green. Teaming with vegetation for the free roaming cattle out here. This particular image is my favorite one to go and sit at. It's pretty tranquil with the occasional truck driving by to go ride 4 wheeler's or to set up camp.
Here I just sit and imagine the cowboys driving cattle to the water that used to flow here and making camp and eating over a campfire.
I hope you enjoy this image as much as I do. Come on out and visit. It's worth the trip.
