In my free time I love running in the mountains. During those lovely moments, I don't mind stopping (just an excuse to take a breath, of course) and start shooting what surrounds me. I love this pocket-able camera because it's light and very handy to carry around (and that's important when you run and your back is not in good shape anymore). Just select one of the three focus zones, search a subject and voilà, you're done.
The picture was taken in the Winkel Valley, a place located near the Austria-Italy border, more precisely: in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy's north-easternmost region. It's a lovely place where climbers, hikers, and runners find uncountable ways to spend gorgeous, peaceful days. I took this photo a few minutes before starting to run towards the mountains that you see in background.
That morning the light was fabulous and I was lucky to catch all the beauty of the valley. It's one of my preferred mountain shots ever.
