This image was taken in November, 2015 at I believe around 11 a.m. during a two-day photography excursion along the Lake Geneva shoreline in and around Montreux, Switzerland.
It was a perfect calm, bright, sunny day. I had been shooting almost exclusively black and white all morning due to the near perfect lighting conditions. This image was shot at 1/60 s at likely f 16 with the sun just to the left of the viewing point but to allow for lens flare.
This area of Montreux has numerous artworks along the pedestrian walkway that skirts Lake Geneva for several kilometers. I wanted the boy in the sculpture to appear to be actually reaching for the warmth of the sun, as winter was approaching.
