It was a rainy, rainy day in Toronto in April 2019; not a good day for outdoor B&W photography. However, I was out on the street hoping for some sunlight to peak through, but it never did. I happened upon this rain streaked metal seating unit.
I picked this subject because under the conditions it looked completely alien. The metallic pattern looks to me like a sound wave; a wave being interrupted by the sound of the falling rain and the droplets that stick to its surface. If you stare at this picture long enough, you can hear the rain striking the metal.
