I was visiting the battlefield at Gettysburg a few years back, and walked through the national cemetery. There was an "unknown" section in the cemetery, and I noticed that this one marker - with only the number 618 carved on the top of it to identify the occupant - was the only marker out of all of them that had an American flag on it. Who had put it there, and why had they picked this specific one? It was puzzling to me, but it drew me in at the same time.
Of all the photos that I took on my visit, this is the only one that really came out to my satisfaction.
