I carry my cameras with me at all times, at the risk of losing my gear or it being stolen from my car. That day, I had picked up my youngest child girl from her preschool and as I was pulling out of the school driveway I turned around to tell her something, only to find her instantly fast asleep.
I instantly grabbed my camera bag on the floor under the passenger seat to snap a photo of her, because who can resist a sleeping child? When I looked at her again to meter and focus, I realized that her image was reflected on the window nearest to her. The reflection looked even more beautiful than her face, so I decided to focus on that rather than on her and try to give it a less traditional point of view.
This image means a lot to me too because it is one of the first rolls I shot with my Pentax 67ii and my new camera and I were starting to “bond”. I can truly say we have been inseparable after this image.
