In January, I was driving down the California coast. I stopped at Rockaway Beach in Pacifica to watch the fishermen and get a great crab sandwich at Nick's Restaurant. Nick's has been there since 1927. After I ate, the sun was low, and I only had Velvia 50. I also forgot that I had a warming filter on the lens, so I only got a few shots, and they were a bit under exposed.
This scene of fishing is repeated all over the world. I reminds me a little of the Mediterranean, except that the water is so much colder in Northern California.
As far as processing, I placed a black point and white point in Lightroom, and added little clarity and noise reduction. I got lucky with the sun shining off the fishing line while the fisherman was casting out to sea.
