My husband and I have always loved taking walks, be it in our neighborhood or catching metro into the city and finding different places to take strolls around DC, possibly stopping some place or other to eat.
In late January 2016, towards the end of the first trimester of my pregnancy, I started regaining my energy back so we headed into DC and chose to walk around the Georgetown area, near the canal, which tends to be quieter with less people around. I don't remember exactly what we were talking about, but I do remember feeling so fully at peace.
I stopped along the way and turned to look at the canal's quiet water and the pedestrian bridge in the distance. My heart was full at that moment and I wanted to remember that feeling. I took out my trusty and ever so wonderful Canon and snapped a picture as a keepsake of that peaceful memory on film.
